But the book also hopes to serve as a learning tool for the verbal portions of standardized tests like the SAT and ACT. Unfortunately, readers get bogged down not only by a shallow story, but also oddly placed, set the bold words in the text. These test words, the number is many times more than a dozen per page, make the novel almost illegible, and refuse to attempt to improve the vocabulary to promote reading through pleasure. Often four fifty-seven words in bold are combined in a single sentence that could hinder the ability of the reader to deduce the definition of context. And even when it strewn some interesting believable teenager, the book will almost always work so much to go through the usual SAT or ACT study guides. Martin J.
